Even though the public is hoping that Donald Trump gets hit with a gag order to make him stop talking about his criminal trials, the truth is that he’s helping out prosecutors every time he opens his mouth. He’s essentially admitted to nearly everything that he’s been accused of, and those are statements that are absolutely going to be used against him in court, even if it is only to put him on the spot during a cross-examination. Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

Even though Judge Arthur Eron has issued a partial, uh, gag order against Donald Trump in the fraud trial in New York, Donald Trump hadn’t stopped talking, right? He, he stopped attacking the specific people. Eron told him he couldn’t attack, but he’s still attacking Letitia James. He’s still attacking judge himself and he’s still attacking prosecutors and judges and even potential witnesses in cases all around the country. And we need gag orders on him. But at the same time, the more he talks, the more he actually implicates himself in the things that he’s being accused of. So he got away the pros and the cons there. But that leads me to our next question. This is from, uh, PJ Raz Za 4 3 4 3. Who asks, if Trump keeps talking, do you think he might convict himself before court? He doesn’t have the ability to keep quiet and that’s absolutely right. And yes, I absolutely do.
Trump has literally admitted to some of the things he has been accused of because he keeps running his mouth. Like the documents case, I think is a, is a terrific example. ’cause he goes out there, he’s like, I had the right to take these. He’s like, I did take ’em because I’m allowed to take ’em. It’s like, cool, you’re not allowed to take ’em. But it is nice that you’re just straight up admitting to it now, because that makes the prosecutors’ work so much easier. Uh, with the, uh, case in front of Judge Chut Ken for attempting to overturn the election and everything January 6th related, his lawyers actually filed in court that, hey, he’s allowed to do the things that you’re accusing him of doing because he was president at the time. And those are his presidential duties. So like that’s, that’s kind of admitting that, yeah, he did it, but we think he’s allowed to do it.
Um, same thing in Georgia. He’s still, it was the perfect phone code doing dating me for a perfect phone call and I made the call, yeah, you may just wanna shut up. So I am very torn. I am torn between, obviously when he goes out there and attacks these people, when he attacks the prosecutors and the judges, and again, the potential witnesses. Uh, he’s tainting these people in front of a potential jury and thereby tainting the potential jury pool, which is, by the way, what Jack Smith filed in court. And, uh, what is, oh, today, today, October 16th, we actually get the ruling from Judge Truken whether or not she’s gonna put in the, uh, gag order. So we’ll find out today. I told we forgot that that was happening. Um, so we’ll see. But at the same time, I understand the necessity of it and I do think we need it, but if we just let him keep talking, it makes the prosecutor’s job so much easier. But, you know, the benefits of the gag order outweigh the risks. I think Trump has already said enough to effectively indict himself and give prosecutors all of the ammunition he need. Uh, they need. Um,
And I do think there is a real danger that Trump taints potential jury pools because he doesn’t know who’s gonna be on the jury. None of us do at this point. But if you get one or two of those jurors who happen to be big Trump supporters, they’re gonna go into that courtroom already thinking because of what Trump said, like, well, that prosecutor’s corrupt. This is a Trump hating judge. So this is all a sham. So I’m voting not guilty before you even hear opening statements. And that’s the danger. And that of course, is why Trump is doing what he’s doing.
