MONDAY NIGHT AT 10: A South Carolina farmer strikes back, accusing the SC Law Enforcement Division of ignoring warnings to give him his day in court before SLED agents raided his farm.
Emails show the South Carolina Attorney General and a circuit court judge warned SLED about the arrest and destruction of this farmer’s hemp crop — but in September 2019, SLED descended upon the farm, arrested the farmer, then mowed down his crop.
The farmer accuses SLED, the South Carolina Attorney General’s office, the South Carolina Department of Agriculture, The South Carolina Forestry Commission, and the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office of conspiring to illegally arrest him and to destroy his +$2M hemp crop without giving him a chance to defend himself.
Our three-part series airs Monday night at 10 on Queen City News.
