Description: In this workshop, USAID will moderate a panel on how to best support investigative journalists and outlets across a variety of safety and security areas.
Aims and Objectives: This session will focus on how to provide more holistic and proactive support to investigative journalists and outlets across digital, physical, legal, psycho-social, and organizational security. The aim is to examine how safety and security challenges for investigative journalists have evolved over time, identify gaps in resources and support – particularly for vulnerable communities, and how to address these challenges in a more integrated, inclusive way.
