Unconfirmed sensitive elements related to the Hamas-linked Palestinian abduction were among reasons police did not reveal details to the public.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim said safety issues were also the reason why certain details were held back.
He said after the news broke out, certain names of witnesses were also revealed to the public.
He told a press conference this after officiating the Safety Point Rapid KL Pilot Project at Kampung Batu MRT station today, Wednesday, October 19.
When asked if it is true that Mossad was involved in the Palestinian abduction, he said police are unable to confirm the matter at the moment.
He said their investigation was now focused on whether agencies abroad are involved in the case.
