The World Congress of Taiwan Studies brings together the world’s leading Taiwan Studies scholars to share their research. The 4th World Congress general theme was “Taiwan in the Making,” exploring the processes, forces, and dynamics that made and continue to make Taiwan. The quadrennial conference was jointly organized by Academia Sinica and the Taiwan Studies Program and was the first WCTS held in North America
