Q. Gov. Phil Murphy hired two firms to study his administration’s handling of the Covid crisis, promising transparency and cooperation — “period, full stop.” He would not release the contracts, or estimate the cost, and it’s expected to take a full year. Speaker Craig Coughlin says he’s inclined to delay legislative investigations until the study is done, likely after next year’s elections. Thoughts?
