Video shows Toronto police officer running over suspect

“Our members were responding to calls for a woman, armed with knives, causing damage to nearby vehicles. After deploying a taser, a struggle ensued as they attempted to take the suspect into custody. As another officer arrived to assist, the police vehicle rolled forward into the suspect and the arresting officers,” Toronto police said in a statement about the video that was recorded near Jane Park Plaza shopping centre on Nov. 1. “Thankfully, our members were not seriously injured. The woman did not sustain any injuries from the police vehicle and was taken to hospital for the taser deployment.”
