Video shows man pull gun on cop and shoot himself in hand while being tased



Police body camera footage, obtained by MLive through a Freedom of Information Act request, shows what led up to James Mitchell Kerr being charged and sent to trial Wednesday, Nov. 13, facing assault with intent to murder, carrying a firearm in the commission of a felony and resisting arrest for an incident that occurred Sept. 19, 2024, where he pulled a gun on a deputy and shot himself in the hand while being tased.
