Danny Costanzo (Billy Crystal) and Ray Hughes (Gregory Hines) are two veteran Chicago police officers who have seen it all. They’re cocky, they’re effective, and they never play by the rules. But their latest case brings them face-to-face with one of the city’s most dangerous criminals: Julio Gonzales (Jimmy Smits), a ruthless drug dealer with ambitions of becoming the “first Spanish Godfather of Chicago” .

During a high-stakes operation to take down Julio, things go horribly wrong. The case goes sideways, and Danny and Ray nearly lose their lives at the hands of this vicious kingpin.
