A major clash broke out in Manipur between the police, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), and members of COCOMI (Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity), who were protesting against the upcoming Sangai Festival. Demonstrators attempted to enforce a boycott of the event, accusing the government of ignoring the suffering of thousands displaced by the ethnic conflict.
