Kenya School of Law (KSL) students condemned police brutality during Thursday’s protests, standing in solidarity with fellow citizens demanding justice and accountability. The demonstrations were sparked by the brutal killing of Albert Were, which has ignited nationwide outrage.
While KSL students specifically decried the excessive use of force during protests and called for the protection of constitutional rights, thursday protest saw many Kenyans use the platform to demand the immediate resignation of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Lagat, holding him directly accountable for Albert Were’s death.
