The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday, September 24, dismissed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s plea challenging the Governor’s sanction for investigation under Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act in the alleged Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam. Justice M Nagaprasanna, in a single-judge bench, ruled that the complainants were justified in seeking the Governor’s approval, adding that it is their duty under Section 17A.
