A surprising incident occurred in Nankana Sahib where the traffic wardens tried to issue a challan to a city dweller for driving on a pedal, alleging a one-way traffic violation.
When the city dweller questioned and became upset, the traffic police and other police officials assaulted her, put her in a car, and took her to the sector office, where she was detained overnight.
Mutasira Fard’s arm was torn and her head was slit. She was released in the morning, after which she went to court and filed a criminal complaint against the traffic police.
The question is, have even the civilians who ride on foot in Pakistan now become criminals?
Such police behavior breeds hatred between the public and the police and brings disrepute to the entire district.
Through this video, we are simply raising the question: when will justice be served, and why isn’t action taken against those responsible in such situations? #NankanaSahib
