Former MP Harsha Kumar has made bold and controversial statements during his visit to Aitanagar, Tenali, where a viral video showed three youths being brutally beaten by two police CIs. Alleging caste-based and religious targeting, Kumar accused the police and the current Telugu Desam government of shielding the perpetrators and oppressing Dalits and Christians.
In a fiery press meet, he directly questioned Guntur SP Satish, accused the government of celebrating Mahanadu amid unresolved injustices, and warned of a death fast if action isn’t taken. Kumar also alleged that the attack happened because bribes were not paid to local rowdies.
He has demanded the suspension and arrest of the two CIs within a week, threatening further protest if justice is delayed. The incident has now drawn attention from national commissions for SC, ST, and minorities.
