Hamilton was found wandering the streets as a stray and taken in by a local rescue before coming to One Heart Wild on February 21.
At just 4 months old, he was already personable, curious, and playful. Now he’s settling into his forever home, burrowing into warm hay, grunting happily, and showing us just how safe he feels.
And of course, neighborhood watch was already on duty. Annie checking in through the window was one of the sweetest parts.
This is part of what makes One Heart Wild so special. The sanctuary is a forever home for animals, but it is also part of a larger mission centered on healing, connection, and mental health. The joy, trust, and relationships these animals bring into people’s lives matter more than words can say.
This is what sanctuary life is all about — safety, community, compassion, and the powerful bond between humans and animals.
