A Cabinet note on proposed amendments to the Whistleblower Protection Act was presented to the Cabinet last week for a policy decision, says unity government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil.
Fahmi said the Act needs to be amended due to inconsistencies and overlapping provisions with other legislation.
He said the matter was discussed recently, with the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform), Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, outlining the proposed changes.
