Sarah described the growth team at Facebook as “…fast and loose. Aways looking for opportunities in the gray area created by the lack of regulation.”
Sarah quotes Meta’s current COO Javier Olivan: “After that (the first billion users), you get into issues like how to reach children, how to get into places like China that are hostile to any social media site.”
It sure seems as though Facebook and Meta have spent the past decade preying on the lack of regulation to target children, addict and harm them. All for the mighty dollar.
