On June 6th, 2025. Police arrested two parents after a concerning incident involving their 4-year-old. Officers were called to a hotel around 12:30 p.m. after a 911 caller reported that a man was damaging a room while a young child was inside after getting into a heated argument. When officers arrived, they found the child’s mother alone in the parking lot. Police said she appeared to be trying to hide something illegal, police also discovered she had a warrant. She told officers, the child’s father had taken the 4-year-old and left the area. The mother also told police the father had violated a protection order before taking the 4-year-old. Officers contacted the father by phone, and he claimed he had never been at the hotel and said he was at home. A short time later, police searched nearby businesses and eventually located him inside a restaurant, where he was found hiding in a women’s restroom with the 4-year-old. Both parents were taken into custody in connection with the incident. The child was later released to family members who came to pick him up from the police department.
