Footage from the Sydney protest against the visit of Israeli President Isaac Herzog shows NSW police officers repeatedly assaulting peaceful protesters, with scenes of punching, shoving and forcing people to the ground as officers surge through the crowd.

The video documents police charging at peaceful protesters on multiple occasions, knocking people over, dragging them across the pavement and pepper spraying protesters who were standing still and posing no threat.

In one sequence, two officers punch a man multiple times while he is pinned on the ground, as others sit on him to restrain his body.

These violent images are played alongside comments from NSW Premier Chris Minns, who insists police “did everything possible to avoid a confrontation”, creating a stark and damning contrast between official claims and what the footage actually shows.

As Minns praises police conduct and denies provocation, the visuals show officers actively escalating the situation, using force and chemical spray against unarmed demonstrators, exposing what critics say is a blatant attempt to rewrite events and shield police brutality.

Minns, who has spent the last few weeks echoing Zionist talking points, is accused by critics of being under the influence of Israel, a foreign government.
