Taiwo Abodunde was a 41-year-old Nigerian mother of three who moved to the UK in search of a better life.
In November 2023, police responded to a domestic violence call at her home in Newmarket, Suffolk. Her husband was arrested and later released on bail.
The following morning, officers returned to the house. While standing outside, they heard disturbing sounds coming from inside. By the time they forced entry, Taiwo was already dead.
Her husband later pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
