What began as a routine traffic stop on Interstate 95 quickly escalated into a major narcotics arrest in Palm Coast, Florida. Flagler County Sheriff’s Office detectives pulled the vehicle over for traffic violations, including impeding traffic in the left lane and illegal window tint. What happened next was all captured during the investigation that followed.

As deputies made contact with the occupants, suspicious movements were observed inside the vehicle. A K-9 unit was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics, giving detectives probable cause to search the car. During the search, deputies uncovered fentanyl, methamphetamine, digital scales, baggies, a ledger, and other drug paraphernalia hidden throughout the vehicle, including inside backpacks, a glasses case, and even a concealed container attached to the vehicle’s frame.

Based on the quantity of drugs and distribution materials, investigators determined the narcotics were intended for street-level sale. All three occupants were arrested and transported to the Flagler County jail. However, the situation escalated even further after arrival at the detention facility, when one suspect allegedly struck a detention deputy while being escorted to a cell, resulting in an additional felony charge.

In this bodycam breakdown, we walk through how the traffic stop unfolded, why the vehicle search was legally conducted, what deputies found inside, and what happened after the cameras stopped rolling. This case highlights how a simple traffic stop can quickly evolve into a serious felony investigation with major legal consequences.
