This video features bodycam-style analysis of a chaotic incident in Highland Park, New Jersey, that occurred on February 26, 2025. Police were dispatched to a local salon on Raritan Avenue for a reported dispute, where a male suspect—later identified as male—was assaulting a female and smashing the business’s glass front door with a piece of wood during its grand opening. Witnesses reported the suspect was screaming incoherently about being “turned in” before grabbing a victim and causing property damage. When officers arrived, the suspect refused commands and fled across two active lanes of traffic, initiating a dangerous foot pursuit. During the chase, one officer was injured after striking a picnic table while attempting to grab the suspect, and a second officer sustained a leg injury while executing a double-arm tackle to finally bring the suspect to the ground. Following the arrest, officers noted the suspect appeared to be hallucinating and speaking about scripture.
