On March 6, 2025, Centralia police responded to a residence on South Maple Street after reports of an unwanted person refusing to leave. Officers encountered Brook Nossett, who became aggressive, screamed at officers, and shoved Sgt. Perry. When officers attempted to take her into custody, she resisted violently, continuing to fight and pull away until secured in a patrol vehicle. The complainant, Tina Wilson, reported that Nossett had damaged her front door, broken her television, and acted aggressively but only wanted her removed, not charged for the property damage.
At the station, Nossett again became combative, and records showed a prior domestic battery conviction in 2023. She was deemed a threat to society and booked into Marion County Jail on charges of aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting arrest.
