The City of Geneva is grappling with a crisis in its police department following the resignation of a 13-year veteran officer and the administrative leave of two others.
Mayor Steve Valentino addressed the community’s concerns after Officer Michael Tapscott resigned earlier this week following his arrest on charges of selling drugs and official misconduct.
“Everybody in that police department works hard. So it’s very disheartening to hear that somebody has violated some rules, laws and regulations,” said Valentino.
