South Korea top court overturns presidential frontrunner Lee Jae-myung’s election law violation case

A dramatic day in South Korean politics. The Supreme Court has found top presidential hopeful Lee Jae-myung guilty in an election law violation case, while Acting President Han Duck-soo has announced he will step down to “take on a greater responsibility” — a move widely interpreted as a prelude to a presidential run. As for former President Yoon Suk-yeol, he has been indicted without detention for abuse of power. This is on top of his insurrection case. Grace Shin reports.
