Law enforcement officers responded to a call from a property manager concerning two individuals found sleeping inside a white Toyota car. The vehicle was parked in a handicapped parking space. One of the occupants was asleep in the back seat with the door ajar and his feet protruding. Another male occupant was also asleep in the front seat.
Upon attempting to wake them up, the officers encountered resistance. When the individual behind the wheel eventually woke up, he declined to provide identification and exited the car. The officer instructed him to place his hands behind his back, but the subject resisted and physically pushed the officer aside. Then he began to walk away, prompting the officer to issue a warning about deploying a taser. Despite this, the subject continued to move away, leading to the deployment of the taser device.
