The State has taken possession of 15 flats worth 66 million Kwacha belonging to former First Lady ESTHER LUNGU.
This follows a ruling by the Economic and Financial Crimes Court that the flats be forfeited to the state as they were proceeds of crime.
The Court today ruled that Mrs. LUNGU failed to produce evidence that her flats were not proceeds of crime.
The judgment was delivered in Chambers by Economic and Financial Crimes Judges PIXXIE YANGAILO, VINCENT SILOKA and IAN MABOLOBOLO.
