I was doing a Uber eats delivery in Yonkers and as I was exiting the bank I got on my moped because I had left my phone on the moped. It’s was a in and out type of delivery because I had another delivery to go pick up. The police never made himself present, he did not turn on his lights or did he yell “police” all I remember was hearing keys and I turn around and he threw himself at me . I was in complete shock of what had happened. I ended up getting charge with assault on the officer on the second because he ended up getting hurt as soon as did I because the bike fell on my left leg from him throwing himself. As you can see in the video , multiple officers showed up to the scene and as well as the officer who threw himself at me , covered the video cam and audio 2 times as he was speaking to other officers. There was no need for him to do that if there isn’t anything to be hiding. My rights were violated here and this officer did not do his job right the appropriate way some of my things ended up being taken for evidence and also some of my property ended up missing like my AirPods. I tracked them to the first precinct where the last place was, and I personally went to go look for them and one of the officers in there told me it was nowhere to be found, so someone misplaced my property. all of this happened because I did not have plates on my moped, but I feel like if this was supposed to be a traffic stop he could’ve pulled up to me right next to my moped and waited for me to get out the bank instead of creeping up on me and throwing himself on the bike.
