As the secrecy at multi-billion dollar tech companies, including in A.I., becomes increasingly apparent, it also becomes more clear that true accountability will have to rely on insiders coming forward for the public good. As with previous Big Tech revelations such as the Facebook Files or Theranos, journalists and whistleblowers who risk everything to share these revelations will be on the front line.
