Today we’re in Judge David Fleischer court for walking while black case. A man was arrested for Jaywalking but police charged him with the possession of marijuana case.
For those who are unfamiliar with US legal system, a police officer must have a good reason (probable cause)to stop and search. In the first instance, the police arrested the man for jaywalking, searched him, and discovered marijuana on him as a result.The judge stated, “so, walking while black,” which translates to, “the cop saw a Black man doing nothing wrong but he really wanted to arrest him.” The judge is aware of these strategies.
He knew this is unfair and hold accountable for what police had done to him.
