80% Increase in Met Police Misconduct Cases in One Year

Misconduct cases involving officers of the Metropolitan Police Service almost doubled in the space of a year. While the Met commissioner claimed the increase in cases was down to increased levels of accountability, campaigners from StopWatch pointed to the vastly higher numbers of accusations brought against the Met.
