synopsis:Attorney Matlock takes on the defense of pregnant Sam, who is accused of stealing a car.
Matlock finds holes in the testimony of a key witness. The witness claimed to have seen Sam at the scene of the car theft at the time of the crime, but Matlock, through skillful questioning, realized that the witness’s memory might have been disturbed by other factors, and its accuracy was doubtful.
Second, some of the evidence relied upon by the police, such as fingerprints on the vehicle, did not conclusively prove that Sam was the car thief. Matlock suspected that this evidence might have been deliberately falsified or misrepresented.
As the investigation went deeper, Matlock also found that behind this case may involve some complex character relationships and interests entanglement. There are some people who may want to frame Sam for some purpose to achieve their own ulterior motives.
