The ruling front is justifying police officers who take poor people into custody and beat them around a stove, said Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan. He was speaking during an emergency motion in the Assembly, sharply criticizing the Home Department over the rising incidents of police brutality. Satheesan was referring to the recent incident of police assault in Anthikkad.
