Woman cops will end up costing taxpayers in the long run. The push to make police departments 35% women is because experts feel they will cause a drop in police brutality claims and bring a favorable light back onto police in general. Sound good? It does until you add in the costs. Women are more emotional and make decisions based on such. Therefore, these decisions might cause setbacks on individual cases and the department overall. Women call in sick more. They have physical ailments that cause insurance rates to increase. They have childcare problems and pregnancies. They milk the system of psychological benefits and personal leaves due to them. They will not shoot to kill and dwell over such dilemmas as it is happening which might cause a partner’s life. I put together 3 examples of women who are police officers currently. Would a man have handled each situation differently?
