US police accused of abuse with tasers

In the last 10 years at least 500 people in the US have died after being electrically shocked by police firing taser guns.

Officers say the weapon is a valuable tool for subduing suspects.

But cases of tasers being used on children and the elderly have led to allegations of abuse.
