A major road accident in the United States’ western Massachusetts on Thursday left three Indian students dead and five others injured.

By India Today Web Desk: As many as three Indian students were killed and five others hospitalised in a road accident in the United States’ western Massachusetts on Thursday after the car they were travelling in crashed with another vehicle.
According to a statement by Berkshire District Attorney’s Office on Thursday, the victims have been identified as 27-year-old Prem Kumar Reddy Goda, 22-year-old Pavani Gullapally and 22-year-old Sai Narasimha Patamsetti.
Massachusetts state and local police are investigating the matter.
The accident happened at around 5:30 am when the two vehicles, moving in different directions, collided with each other.
The injured have been identified as 23-year-old Manoj Reddy Donda, 22-year-old Sridhar Reddy Chinthakunta, 23-year-old Vijith Reddy Gummala, and 22-year-old Hima Ishwarya Siddireddy. They have been admitted to Berkshire Medical Center for treatment.
The victims are international college students, of whom six are studying at the University of New Haven and one at Sacred Heart University, according to law enforcement authorities.
The driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle has been identified as 46-year-old Armando Bautista-Cruz. He was transported to Fairview Medical Center for treatment. The Sheffield Police Department and the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office are investigating the accident and request anyone with information to contact the authorities.
The State Police Detective Unit has informed family members and/or designees of the decedents and the Consulate General of India, New York.
