Shocking Confession: Safeguarding Minister Admits Knowledge of Police Abuse

On 2 September, Jess Phillips, the UK Minister for Safeguarding, made a series of explosive admissions in the House of Commons that the media has barely touched.

She admitted that she has met survivors who told her they were raped by police officers who were part of grooming gangs. She admitted she has personally witnessed cover-up behaviour, where officials refused to act because they feared the “trouble” it might cause. And then, unbelievably, she tried to rewrite history by claiming that British Pakistanis were the “most fervent truth seekers” in exposing grooming gangs.

These revelations change everything. If Jess Phillips knew survivors alleged police involvement, why did she stay silent. If she saw cover-ups with her own eyes, why did she not act. And if she truly cared about victims, why did she campaign against a national inquiry.

This is not safeguarding. This is collusion. And no minister responsible for protecting children can remain in post after admitting such knowledge and such silence.

It is nine minutes past nine and we have arrived late. Perhaps, too late…
