Police under fire for Newcastle child abuse payment

Northumbria Police have come under fire for paying a child rapist ten thousand pounds to help catch a sex gang in Newcastle.

They said his information helped convict the seventeen men and one woman who’d groomed, drugged and raped young women and girls. But a woman who was abused in the Rotherham child sex ring has told Five News that using him was wrong and ‘crossed a line’.
