Civic-minded New Yorkers can go online to watch proceedings before a mid-level Manhattan appeals court starting Tuesday.
The Appellate Division, First Department, will be livestreaming arguments on the nycourts.gov website. A video archive will also be available.
“Our goal … is to use advances in technology to make the Court more accessible and transparent,” Justice Rolando Acosta said.
“We are opening the courthouse doors even wider to the public, which I believe will engender confidence that courts, the last bastion of justice, have the requisite moral authority to dispense justice to all.”
