Leaders from Murang’a County have condemned police brutality following the death of Boniface Kariuki, a hawker from Kangema, who was fatally shot during recent protests in Nairobi. Boniface Kariuki succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Kenyatta Hospital. Murang’a Senator Joe Nyutu visited Kariuki’s home in Kangema to condole with the family, where he condemned the police for using excessive force on protestors.
