Mother Shows Up at Her Son’s Arrest and Assaults Police Officer
on 06/09/24, officers with The Orlando Police department responded to the area of Edgemoor St and Silverston St to assist officers in capturing the suspects of a robbery that just occurred. Upon capture of the suspects at the aforementioned intersection, a crowd started to form around officers. Several patrol vehicles were placed in front of the crowd to allow officers a safe area to conduct this investigation.
While monitoring the crowd, a female, later identified as Erica Lafure, began walking past patrol vehicles and into the scene. The officer gave Erica numerous loud, clear, and concise verbal commands to “back up.” She willingly ignored the officers commands and continued walking into the scene and closer to officers. The officer stood directly in front of the woman while continuously ordering her to back up, the defendant then used her left hand to slap and push off the officer’s chest, and that is when she was taken into custody.
After confirming with the boyfriend that he would be home to take care of the children, The officer transported the woman to the Broward County Jail where she was Booked and charged with Battery on a law enforcement officer, Resisting officer with violence, and resisting officer without violence. if you enjoy the content we produce, please don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more!
