Mother of assaulted delivery man condemns police misconduct in Guwahati

A police officer in Guwahati was accused of physically assaulting delivery worker Gyandip Hazarika in the middle of the road on November 15. The incident has sparked outrage and led to strong reactions from all quarters, including Hazarika’s mother, Baby Hazarika, who works for the 12th Police Battalion.

Expressing her disapproval, she condemned the officer’s actions, emphasising the need for professional conduct and respect in the police force. She also said that the officer could have simply issued a fine instead of using force.
