Mom and Boyfriend Arrested for Her Toddler’s Brutal Beating: Police

A Texas mother, Chelsea Berg, and her boyfriend, Christopher Alexander, are facing serious charges after Berg’s 3-year-old son, Dawson Zamora, was hospitalized with devastating injuries police say were consistent with severe abuse. Alexander allegedly claimed Dawson “fell,” but doctors found extensive bruising, brain bleeding, and other trauma, leading to his arrest for injury to a child and related charges. Berg, who was not home during the alleged beating, was charged with injury to a child by omission, accused of leaving her son in the care of a man with a violent past as the child now fights for his life on life support.
