Journalists across Kenya take to the streets protesting ‘police brutality’

Journalists across the Country took to the streets on Wednesday to protests what they claimed as cases of brutality in the line of work, immediate payment of pending bills owed to media houses among other issues. The journalists presented petitions to the police as well as the Ministry of Information, Communication and the digital economy calling for immediate action. In Kiambu County, journalists held prayers at the home of Catherine Wanjeri, a Mediamax journalist who was shot while covering protests in Nakuru town.
