BALTIMORE — Baltimore City Police are asking for help in finding a missing 4-year-old boy who was last seen Thursday afternoon in the area of 4500 Rogers Avenue.

Malachi Lawson was last seen wearing a white tank top, khaki shorts, and black flip flops.

Police say Malachi has braided hair and is missing a front tooth. They said to also look out for a limp, he’s had a limp since he broke his femur when he was younger.

According to Baltimore Police, he was last seen on his grandmother’s front porch by his mother, who immediately reported him missing.

The FBI has also joined on the search for Malachi, tweeting out a photo of the 4-year-old.

Baltimore Shomrim Safety Patrol and Hatzalah Baltimore joining in on the search Friday morning. Heshie Klein, the Vice President of Operations said Baltimore Police called them asking them to help out and they immediately got nearly 100 volunteers.

“A lot of us are fathers. A lot of us are grandfathers and you have a four-year-old child missing, defenseless. It struck a nerve,” said Klein. He added it was no problem getting people together. Something that didn’t surprise Councilman Yitzy Schleifer who joined in on the search.

“I’m a father of two young children so when you hear about a missing child your reaction is to do everything you can do to help,” said Schleifer.
