On March 1, 2026, at Sherbourne & Dundas in Toronto, I encountered a man wearing tactical-style gear that appeared non-standard and not authentic military issue.
He was dressed with knee pads, elbow pads, and an empty holster. During our conversation, he stated that he usually carries body armor, walkie-talkies, and a sidearm. When asked basic questions about the uniform and his claims, his story changed and did not appear consistent.
He initially described himself one way, then altered parts of the story when pressed for clarification. The gear, patches, and equipment did not appear to match official Canadian Armed Forces standards.
When asked further about the inconsistencies, he chose to leave the area.
This video documents the interaction and raises broader questions about uniforms, identity claims, and the growing presence of tactical-style clothing in civilian environments.
