The US reacted quickly moving a Navy aircraft carrier strike group into the waters off of the Korean Peninsula. Protests in Iran, following the death of 22 year old Mahsa Amini detained by the country’s morality police, have stretched into a third week. Independent Journalist, Mary Mohammadi, a native of Iran now living in the United States, joins to talk about the protests and what the people in Iran are saying is happening over there. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden is dealing with some bad news on the economic front. Major oil-producing countries led by Saudi Arabia and Russia are slashing the amount of oil they deliver to the global economy. Before the president flew off for a tour of IBM, he was asked about the oil production cut by OPEC+. And a political candidate in Louisiana has released a campaign ad that features the birth of her second child. She uses the birth to highlight her support for abortion. Dr. Grazie Christie, joins to explain why she says that abortion is not more safe than giving birth and shares some of the data she found. Finally this evening, the Vatican released the full itinerary for Pope Francis’ trip to Bahrain.
