On February 24, 2025, at 9:16 PM, Arkansas State Police Sergeant Stephen Briggs was patrolling Interstate 30 near Roosevelt Road when he spotted a silver Honda Accord (AR Plate: FFBVNL) swerving between lanes. The vehicle drifted onto the shoulder multiple times, struggling to maintain control.

As the driver exited onto I-440 East, Sgt. Briggs initiated a traffic stop—but what happened next turned a simple stop into a full-blown pursuit.

The suspect, later identified as Rodney Warren, initially acted like he was pulling over before suddenly cutting across traffic and taking off down Springer Blvd! Reaching speeds of 75 MPH in a 35 MPH zone, Warren ignored stop signs, swerved dangerously, and even tried reversing against traffic to escape!

The chase came to an explosive end when Warren ran out of road, crashing against a large rock at a dead-end street. But instead of surrendering, he bailed out and ran into the woods.

Bad move.

Sgt. Briggs chased him down and tackled him, placing him under arrest. When officers searched the vehicle, they found an open, cold bottle of Budweiser beer—confirming what they already suspected: Warren was intoxicated.

Slurred speech. Belligerent attitude. Bloodshot, watery eyes. He refused to take a DWI test, but it didn’t matter—he was already in handcuffs and on his way to Pulaski County Jail.
