On 23rd June 2025, protestors gathered outside Israel Embassy and burned a photograph of Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli national flag. According to a few reports slogans were raised which called for a free Palestine and to stop the war and genocide in Gaza. While the protest was peaceful as the students claim, the police misbehaved with the protesters and women complained of being dragged by policemen. When #thewire reached out to SI Mann of the Mandir Marg Station, he denied any information.
They were detained at two stations, one was the Mandir marg station and the other was Tughlakabad Extension. Watch what the protesting students had to say…Allegations include severe police violence, with protester Srishti hospitalized, requiring oxygen and leg X-rays due to injuries.
