CybRomero’s Wrath – MAP01 “Neighborhood Watch”

This is the first map for my 6 map GZDoom/UZDoom mapset called “CybRomero’s Wrath”. MAP01 was started on November 8, 2025 and completed on April 14, 2026. Further revisions for MAP01 (primarily to add in the entrance to the secret map) started on July 5, 2026 and completed on July 14, 2026.

MUSIC: “Doom City” by Shamus Young
You are getting ready to leave your crappy little apartment to meet with your contact at the airport when all of a sudden you hear a loud ruckus coming from the hallway. Sounds like some assholes are shouting at the residents to come out of their homes. You pick up your trusty pistol, making sure it’s fully loaded and approach the front door.

This is basically a complete remake of MAP01 and MAP02 from “Doomguy in the Battle for Toad Hall 20XX”. The starting area where the player starts is essentially the entire remake of MAP01. Everything else remakes MAP02 and the secret map area, the two story office building and the office building with the checkpoint that has the regular exit are completely new to this remake. This map is supposed to be an homage to Doom City by Shamus Young. Despite being the first map made for this project, it took the longest time to make.
